Though back pain is incredibly pervasive, back therapy products maintain a dated, medicinal aesthetic, poor performance and cheap materials. The goal was to create a modern back therapy product using premium materials and thoughtful design. The back wraps and cold packs are inspired by the human form. Muscle structure was key in developing the architecture of the cold pack, while the areas of stretch and stability on the wrap are formed to respond to the changes of the body in motion. Designed to address the problem of uncomfortable “pinch grip” hand position when fastening the wrap, “pocket” closures were created to allow snug fastening of the wrap with a neutral hand position.
